Kahala Oceanfront Estate

Honolulu, Hawaii

PVA is designing what will become the single largest estate on Kahala Avenue. The sale of the 3 adjacent oceanfront lots was a record-breaking real estate deal at $34 million.

PVA is designing the 26,000 square foot estate to achieve a LEED Certification. To go above and beyond LEED standards, PVA is conducting an energy study for the clients' nearby Waimanalo farm. The goal is to create, at minimum, enough energy on the farm to offset the clients’ energy usage, thereby becoming "carbon neutral."

The architectural style of the estate is classic and timeless, elegant and stately, with design elements steeped in the local vernacular, including elements of C.W. Dickey and the Doris Duke Estate "Shangri La."
